There is plenty of accommodation on the Sunshine Coast for those planning to spend there annual holidays on the local beachfront. The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia’s most popular beachside holiday locations with more than a dozen great surfing beaches to choose from and several calm water beaches as well. Tens of thousands of Australian families have chosen the Sunshine Coast as their favourite holiday destination, mainly because of the quality of the holiday accommodation and also because there is so much to entertain the children.
Most families with kids want self catering accommodation as it allows them to save money on eating out and the room rates over a week or so make it much cheaper than staying in a hotel. Many holiday destinations prove to be very expensive when it comes to eating out and this is not necessarily the case on the Sunshine coast. There are plenty of budget restaurants and all of the major fast food chains are here in force. The most popular places to stay on the Sunshine Coast, when looking for family accommodation are, Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum, Noosa and Rainbow Beach and the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland accommodation. In all of these regions you will find a choice from holiday homes, Cabins, self catering holiday apartments and holiday resorts.
Family entertainment can be as cheap as spending the day at the beach or you can spend up a bit and give the kids a treat. Why not take them to Australia Zoo and see the crocodiles and the other exhibits or perhaps to Underwater World at Mooloolaba and go diving with the sharks. The Sunshine Coast hinterland is also great for a day out and you can go for a picnic to Maleny. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle you can start from the Noosa North Shore and drive up Teewah beach to Double Island Point. The fishing in this region is fantastic. From Rainbow Beach you can also take the family up the beach to Inskip Point and take the ferry across to Fraser Island for the day.
