Southport is a great place to find holiday homes and apartments. The Gold Coast region is a holiday paradise and has excellent holiday accommodation right along its length. Southport, however, has some of the best available. There are two main regions in Southport where you can find this. Southport and the Southport Spit regions are divided by the Southport broadwater, which is basically the estuary for the Nerang River and Gold Coast canal systems.
On the inland side of the Broadwater is the Southport commercial center and the east facing shoreline, north of the commercial center has calm water beaches and lots of great holiday accommodation. Family accommodation is available in a number of apartment style resorts, situated right on the waterfront and hotel accommodation is also located here. On the Western Shore is the Southport Spit and it is home to some of the best holiday accommodation on the Gold Coast. Families on holiday with kids love to stay at Seaworld Nara Resort because holiday specials and packages are usually available here and they include entry into the adjacent Seaworld theme park.
At the top end of the market some of the Gold Coasts best luxury accommodation is also to be found on the Southport Spit. The Sheraton Mirage resort is a great place for top of the range holiday accommodation and it is situated right on the ocean beach. The Palazzo Versace resort is Australia’s only six star holiday accommodation, and although it is expensive it is second to none.
As you can see, the range of holiday accommodation in Southport is fantastic.
